IGKAST-L
IGKAST-L is a combination medication used to manage asthma and allergic conditions like allergic rhinitis. It contains two active ingredients:
1. Montelukast: A leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) that helps in reducing inflammation in the airways and prevents asthma attacks.
2. Levocetirizine: An antihistamine that helps in relieving allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itching.
Key Information:
Usage: Asthma prevention, Allergic rhinitis (hay fever), Chronic urticaria (hives).
Dosage: Usually taken once daily, preferably in the evening. Can be taken with or without food. Dosage depends on age and medical condition (consult a doctor).
Side Effects: Drowsiness, Headache, Dry mouth, Dizziness, Nausea
Precautions: Avoid alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness. Not recommended for acute asthma attacks.
