FLUTIGLIDE-AZ Nasal Spray is a combination medication used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and nasal congestion. It contains two active ingredients :
1. Azelastine: An antihistamine that blocks the effects of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.
2. Fluticasone Propionate: A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the nasal passages.
Key Information:
Usage: Shake the bottle gently before each use. Blow your nose gently to clear the nostrils. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril while closing the other. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril, away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breathe gently and keep your head upright. Repeat the process for the other nostril.
Dosage: Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not use it more often or for longer than recommended.
Common Side Effects: Taste changes, Nosebleeds, Headache, Cough, Upper respiratory tract infection, Dryness in mouth, Nasal discomfort, Voice changes. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, consult your doctor.
Precautions:
Allergies: Inform your doctor about any allergies you may have, including allergies to azelastine, fluticasone, or other medicines.
Recent Nasal Surgery or Injury: Flutiglide-AZ Nasal Spray is not recommended for use if you have recently undergone nasal surgery or have a nasal injury that is not completely healed, as it may delay healing and worsen your condition.
Eye Problems: Prolonged use of high doses may cause cataracts or increased fluid pressure inside the eye. Use with caution if you have a history of eye problems.
Bone Health: Prolonged use may cause loss of bone density. Use with caution if you have osteoporosis.
Children: Not recommended for use in children below 6 years of age.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using FLUTIGLIDE-AZ Nasal Spray if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
